Chiropractic
care at Long Beach Spine and Rehabilitation begins with thorough
examination of the spine and the associated joints, muscles and
nerves that are attached to or emanate from the spine.
In order to make the most
efficient diagnosis, which leads to the most efficient care, all
five sections of the spine are evaluated for abnormal movement,
fixations, injuries, and alignment, which may produce an abnormal
movement of a section of the spine. These sections are called a
motor unit, and these abnormal movements or fixations are called
subluxations.
Your muscular structures are then evaluated
and a treatment plan will be discussed, which will include chiropractic
adjustments to correct the abnormal movement of the motor units,
physiotherapy techniques (if necessary) to alleviate any discomfort
and to expedite healing, and rehabilitation techniques, including
working with our state of the art equipment, exercise, and range
of motion training. Neuromuscular re-education to retrain injured
muscles and ligaments will also be included if necessary.
Chiropractic
adjustment to correct subluxations are our
main mode of treatment and are the alternative to taking drugs or
surgery. Here at Long Beach Spine and Rehabilitation,
we see the spinal adjustment as the best method for care if your
condition warrants treatment. We mostly use manual adjusting techniques
which are generally painless and comfortable to tolerate.
Exercise and retraining of injured or weak muscles
and ligaments can be done with many methods and our rehabilitation
area provides many different ways to rehab your body back to its
optimum state.
