- Pack your lunch to control your fat and sugar intake while adding fruits, vegetables and grains.
- Shy away from restaurants and fast food. Food preparation methods in restaurants often involve high amounts of fat and sugar.
- Exercise at least 20 to 30 minutes a couple times a week.
- Limit alcohol and quit smoking. Drinking alcohol excessively and/or smoking hinders your body’s ability to absorb nutrients from your food.
