Chiropractic Therapy is the main therapeutic treatment used at Long Beach Spine and Rehabilitation Chiropractic Health Center.
Spinal manipulation has been found to be effective in the treatment of the following conditions:
Hip/Sciatica
Knee/Ankle/Foot Pain
Fibromyalgia
Stress
Pregnancy
Performed properly, spinal manipulation can relieve musculoskeletal discomfort as well as improve circulation.
For many conditions, such as lower back pain, spinal manipulation is frequently the primary method of treatment.
Where other conditions exist, spinal manipulation may complement or support medical treatment by relieving the musculoskeletal aspects associated with the condition.
We use a combination of treatments, all of which are predicated on the specific needs of our individual patients.
After taking a complete history and diagnosing a patient, we develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/ management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
Chiropractic Therapy Techniques That We Use Include:
Diversified Chiropractic Manipulation
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
Activator Method
Cranial Facial Release (CFR)
Myofascial Soft Tissue Work
The treatment of the affected joints by manually applying a controlled force restores the mobility, creates blood flow, re-aligns, and relieves pain and muscle tightness, all of which encourage the tissues to heal themselves. Let us help you reach your goals and be the best you can be!

Chiropractic Therapy Technique Descriptions:
Diversified Chiropractic Care: This technique entails a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possible assistance from a table or block. The purpose of manipulation is to increase joint mobility, which can improve range of motion and effectively treat many areas of the body.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM): This deep-tissue technique also known as Graston, utilizes stainless steel instruments to break up muscle fascia restrictions and release scar tissue. By improving tissue mobility, it allows for faster healing and quicker return to previous functional level.
Activator Method: This is a gentle, low-force technique that can be used safely and effectively on patients of all ages. An activator tool is a small rubber-tipped instrument that delivers a light force to specific locations on a patient’s spine and peripheral joints. For patients who prefer a lighter touch approach, this is an ideal technique for them.
Cranial Facial Release (CFR): This is an advanced endo-nasal “balloon assisted” cranial adjusting technique that has been used in the treatment of various neurological and structural disorders. It is performed by inserting tiny balloons into the nasal cavity that are quickly inflated to mobilize the bones of the face and cranium. Conditions that can benefit from CFR include breathing disorders, sinusitis, headaches, vertigo, TMJ, deviated nasal septum, seizures and much more. Conditions that respond favorably to CFR treatment also include neurosis, epilepsy, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Parkinson’s Tremors. Dr. Marta is CFR certified.
Myofacial Soft Tissue Work: Injuries that result from fatigued or over-used muscles often respond well to muscle release techniques. A muscle treated with release techniques is shortened, and a manual tension is applied while elongating the muscle through its active range of motion. This technique increases the nervous system’s tolerance to stretch the muscle. Athletes and active individuals find this technique compliments their healing process.
